#NBIHM

In the year 2005, NBSHM (NORTH BENGAL SCHOOL OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT) started its Franchisee at Upper Johnson Hatta, Sonada, Darjeeling, whose main centre was situated in Siliguri at Hakim Para, West Bengal. It was affiliated with Vinayaka Mission University of Salem Tamil Nadu in the year 2006.

On 18th of May 2012, NBSHM has changed its identity VIZ…NBIHM (NORTH BENGAL INSTITUTE OF HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT), which has been Regd. under Govt. of West Bengal Act XXVI of 1961. NBIHM was the authorised Study Centre of Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya.

On 20th of July 2017, NBIHM is registered its affiliation to Manipal, City & Guilds, UK (MCG) which later on changed to City & Guilds, South Asia (CGSA).

NBIHM, since 2005, has progressed by way of its Quality Education, training and coaching students for courses like ADHM, DHM and full time course in

Food & Beverage Service /Housekeeping through CGSA.  NBIHM have achieved the “Best Hotel Management College in Darjeeling” in National Education Excellence Award 2017 by Praxis Media. 700+ students have been placed in top brand Hotels in India, abroad and cruise as FNB Executives, Housekeeping Executives, Front Office Executives, Executive Chefs, CDP etc who feel proud to be part of us.

The motto of NBIHM  “Your door to the future” which emphasize to impart education with wider horizon, with affordable fees structures based on regional and economical considerations.

NBIHM is the first Hospitality Management Institute in Darjeeling who got ranked as best hotel management college in Darjeeling.

NBIHM is situated in Upper Johnson Hatta, near Sonada High School, Darjeeling. It has Laboratories  for all four major departments with four classrooms, Library and playground. It facilitates with latest learning materials used in Hotel Industry.

Our Promotors

Late Mr. Rajkumar Gupta

Former Managing Director
He was the key person in laying the foundation stone and he was the founder of NBSHM in the year 2005, which later convert into NBIHM in the year 2012. His value based lifestyle and years of experience have been pivotal to the growth and success of the Institution. He was a visionary educationist who had dedicated 14 years of his life to build careers of 700+ able personalities providing them with quality teachings & trainings, to fit them in top brand hotels in India. He has built a strong skill network and spread his trained candidates for placement across the length and breadth of the almost 25 to 30 top brand hotels in India, abroad and cruise. His contribution and dedication will never be forgotten by the NBIHM family.

Mrs. Mamta Gupta

Managing Director
She is the backbone and supporter to make the institute to grow to its full height. She was always the silence supporter to Mr. Rajkumar Gupta, the MD, to walk in all difficulties and smoothness, to built the firm and unshaken institute NBIHM.

Mr. Jiwan Chhetri

Principal
Completed his Post Graduate Diploma in hospitality Management from NBSHM and started his career as Front Office Manager in a Resort in Gangtok. In the year 2012, he was appointed as Front Office HOD in NBIHM. His dedication and affluent service makes him the Principal of NBIHM in the year 2013. He is the man of vision and exemplary leader for any guidance and solutions to the problems.

Mrs. Dipa Thapa

Housekeeping, HOD
Completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management from NBSHM and started her career as GRA in Royal Plaza, the Sarovar Group in Gangtok. She was appointed as Housekeeping HOD in NBIHM in the year 2013. Her enormous experience in Housekeeping Department, gives the students all opportunities to learn towel arts, perfect bed making, room decoration etc.

Mr. Prem Lakpa Sherpa

FNB Production, HOD
Completed his three years Diploma in Hotel Management, started his career as HOT in food production in Hotel Dynasty, Gauwhati and as Chef in Oriental Department in Dubai. In the year 2017, he was appointed as FNB Production HOD in NBIHM. His valued knowledge and experiences, gives students sufficient knowledge and training in Kitchen Department.

Ms. Regina Rawat

Co-ordinator
an experienced educationist in Academic field in Science Section. Her 20 years of teaching experience has makes her perfect supporter for the all round layouts of the Institution, giving the perfect touch.

Mrs. Rebina Gurung

FNB Service, HOD
Completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management from NBSHM and she was appointed as GRA in Hotel Westin, Starwood Group, Hyderabad. She then started her career as FNB Service HOD in NBIHM in the year 2014. She is an experienced trainer for the candidates for all round knowledge and development in FNB Service Department including bar.

Mrs. Srijana Pradhan

Front Office Faculty
Has tremendous experience of two and half years being Executive Front Office and Guest Relation Executive from Summit Hotel and Resort, Darjeeling. She also gather the experience being in Reservation Department from the same hotel. She worked as Counsellor in Illuminati Institute of Aviation and Hotel Management.
